Loss of EUR 569,000 in the 9-months
– Container terminal’s revenue decreased by 59.6%

Piraeus Port Authority’s (OLP), revenue in the 9-months period of 2008, decreased by 37% to EUR 78.9m, from EUR 126.1m compared to the same period of 2007. The decrease of the container terminal’s revenue was 59.6%.
PPA’s expenses decreased by 20.6% to USD 84m, from USD 105.7m, due to the 27% decrease of the labor cost related to the long term strikes.
Results before taxes were EUR 923,000 from EUR 26.7m, while results after taxes were negative (EUR -569,000 from profit of EUR 20m in the 9-month period of 2007).
In the 3rd Q of 2008, revenue increased to EUR 32.7 m, from EUR 27.1m in the 2nd Q of 2008 and from EUR 19m from the 1st Q of 2008.
