Appoints new director as chairman of audit committee

Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc., (Dimitris Melissanides; interests), listed on NYSE, named George J. Konomos to its Board of Directors. With the appointment of Mr. Konomos, 69, who has approximately 35 years of financial experience and will serve as chairman of Audit Committee, Aegean will have a total of seven Directors, of which the majority remain independent.

Aegean Marine Petroleum Network is an international marine fuel logistics company that markets and physically supplies refined marine fuel and lubricants to ships in port and at sea, through its service centres in Greece, Gibraltar, Singapore, Jamaica, the United Arab Emirates, Northern Europe, West Africa, the United Kingdom and North America.
