Net profit increased to 3.6bn in the 9 months of 2008

A.P. Møller - Mærsk Group, for the 9 month period of 2008 announced a revenue increase by 28% to USD 47.18bn and net profit of USD 3.6bn, compared to USD 2.6bn in the corresponding period of 2007, while profit before depreciation, amortisation, etc (EBITDA) was USD 13.4bn as compare to USD 8.3bn.   

  • Mærsk Line and Safmarine transported 5.3m FFE (Forty-Foot Equivalent container units) in the first 9 months of 2008, which was an increase of 5% compared to the corresponding period of 2007 (5.1m FFE).

  • Revenue in APM Terminals increased by 29% in the first 9 months of 2008.
