MSC
Reduces by 9 vessels the Far East –
Europe –
Mediterranean routes

Mediterranean Shipping Company
(MSC) will suspend their Tiger Service, withdrawing 9
vessels of 6,500 TEUs with immediate changes to their
remaining service network between the Far East and
Europe/Mediterranean.
The changes to the port rotation of
these services will allow optimum port coverage from Asia to
all the key markets in Europe and the Mediterranean
insuring efficient transit times via new feeder set up
in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. This new set
up will reduce MSC weekly availability on the route
Far East – Europe - Mediterranean by 2,000 TEUs.

On the Phoenix Service the company will
deploy 10 vessels of 6,500 TEUs. The new port
rotation will be: Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian,
Nansha, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah, Suez Canal,
Beirut, Istanbul, Trieste, Gioia Tauro, Suez Canal, Jeddah,
Singapore, Qingdao.

On the Jade Service will deploy 9
vessels of 9,500 to 11,500 TEUs. The new port
rotation will be: Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen,
Yantai, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Suez Canal, Gioia Tauro
(Imports), Valencia, Gioia Tauro (Exports), Suez Canal, Salalah,
Singapore, Busan.

On the Silk Service will deploy 10
vessels of 9,500 TEUs. The new port rotation will be:
Xingang, Ninbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantai, Hong Kong, Chiwan,
Singapore, Salalah, Suez Canal, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Antwerp,
Suez Canal, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Hong Kong.

On the Dragon Service will deploy 11
vessels of 8,100 TEUs. The new port rotation will be:
Dalian, Xingang, Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Chiwan,
Hong Kong, Singapore, Salalah, Suez Canal, Gioia Tauro, Naples,
La Spezia, Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Suez Canal, Jeddah, Salalah,
Jeebl Ali, Singapore, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Dalian.

On the Lion Service will deploy 10
vessels of 6,500 to 8,100 TEUs. The rotation
will remain unchanged: Busan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai,
Yantian, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Suez Canal, Sines, Le
Havre, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Suez Canal, Singapore,
Chiwan, Busan.
