New TraPac container terminal opens in Jacksonville

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. (Akimitsu Ashida, president) opened its own terminal in the U.S. port of Jacksonville, Florida. The first ship (serving the ESX-China/North America East Coast route) berthed in the afternoon of January 12^th.

MOL's wholly owned subsidiary TraPac, Inc. (headquarters: Los Angeles) operates the new terminal, with a total quay 730m length, in a total area of 65ha. The Port of Jacksonville is fully developed with sufficient railway and road networks.
